My top five "must play" video games of 2013

Introduction

This week I am back with a new entry for all of my readers. This entry is going to be abbreviated, simply because I do not have a lot of time to go into lengthy technical post regarding tech stuff. Next week's entry or the week after next, I will try to find some technical stuff that I believe you "may" find interesting. Today, I am going to discuss my top five "must play" video games of 2013! If you are avid gamer or even if you are not, you may have these same games on your list. Many of the "most anticipated" games of 2013 are coming out this month (in February) or next month in March. Here are the list of games that made my top five list, with some commentary describing what the game is about and why you may want to "consider" picking yourself up a copy or buying it on the net. Like always, you may agree or concur with my particular "tastes". If there are other games that you feel deserve to be on the list or you are just curious about anything else drop me a line! Without further ado, here is the list I came up with! Enjoy!

My top five "must play" video game list of 2013

  1. Sim City 5 - Maxis is back with Sim City 5, after almost a decade "absence" between fourth one and nearly thirty-years after the original! The thing that makes Sim City 5 great, is that fact that it will be a cloud based multiplayer game. You will have the ability to pool resources together with your friends, mix, match, and combine cities! Cities will also be "tailored" toward a specific demographic e.g (If you want a college town you can build that, or you can make your city an industrial town). The possibilities are endless. Release date is set for March 5, 2013. Platforms: (PC Only)
  2. Aliens: Colonial Marines - There is not much more that can be said about Colonial Marines, besides the fact that it was "nearly" cancelled Gearbox Software and delayed and has been about three years in the making! This game takes place between the first and the second movies (by Fox) where you play as Colonial Marines, searching for the character "Ripley" aboard the U.S.S Sulaco. What makes the game "appealing" is that it's online and offline co-op modes. This means it's "drop-in" and "drop-out", when you are with your friends! The developers have also, gone to great lengths to model it after the original movies. It comes out Feb 12, 2013! Platforms: (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC)
  3. Metal Gear Solid Reveneagence - In yet, another one of Hideo Kojima "EPIC" masterpieces, you play as "Raiden" in your quest. Early E3 trailers show us this game is all about hand to hand combat with a sword, which allows you to slice and dice "droids" at your own leisure. The follow up to this, will be the even more highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes (where you play as a young Solid Snake yet again, who travels all over the world!) it's a prequel to "Guns of the Patriots" from 2008. It comes out on Feb 21, 2013! Platforms: (Xbox 360, PS3)
  4. Watch Dogs - Not much is "known" about this game. Industry insiders have speculated it may not even be out, until 2014 (next year)! Trailers at E3 from last year only show us that you are some sort of "spy" working for an "agency" that's connected to a electronic grid. It's open world and you have the ability to "hack" into networks learn information about individuals and disrupt communications! Ubisoft Montreal is behind this one and have the left the doors open for us to figure out, ultimately what's to come next year or at the end of this year! Platforms: (Xbox 360, PS3)
  5. The Last of Us - The Last of Us is game by the team behind "Uncharted" series that of Naughty Dog Entertainment. It's an EXCLUSIVE for the PS3 only and won't be out, until May or June of this year. Early trailers at E3 have shown that this game is all about taking "survival" to a whole new level. Platforms: (PS3 only)

That concludes my list! Take it or leave it! If you have your "own" list or any other questions about these games and want to discuss them, leave me a comment! I will be back next week or two weeks with a new entry for you (due to a busy schedule). In the meantime, feel free to check out all of the trailers for these games on YouTube in HD! If any of them seem interesting to you, don't forget to put your pre-orders down on them! Have a successful work or school week. I will be writing again soon! Thanks for reading! Take care ;-D.
